Laura Mae Bitsie

MEXICAN SPRINGS — Funeral Mass for Laura Mae Bitsie, 47, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Rev. Pio O’Conner will officiate. Burial will be at a family plot in Mexican Springs.

Bitsie died Aug. 19, 2011, in Gallup. She was born June 14, 1964, in Gallup into the Tohanni People Clan born for the Towering House Clan.
Bitsie was employed with the Sun Loan Company for 11 years and was a loyal employee. She was a loving and kind person to everyone. She participated in all positive events and loved by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Delbert C. Bitsie; son Delvin Bitsie; daughter Deloria Bitsie; parents Tsosie Bitsilly Sr. and Elizabeth Bitsilly; brothers Ridley Bitsilly, Timothy Bitsilly and Larry Bitsilly; sisters Laverne Sherman, Lindy Bitsilly and Elvina Tsosie and one grandchild.

Bitsie was preceded in death by her grandparents Thelma Tsosie and Charlie Tsosie, and Jane Bitsilly.

Pallbearers will be Delvin Bitsie, Erwin Bitsilly, Quentin Sherman, Tyler Sherman, Alvin Smith and Michael Tsosie.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Edison Chapo Jr.

SMITH LAKE — Funeral services for Edison Chapo Jr., 39, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 23, 2011, at Thoreau Baptist Church. Burial will follow on private family land in Coolidge.

Chapo died Aug. 16, 2011. He was born Jan. 24, 1972, in Gallup.

Chapo was self employed as a silversmith at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife Tina Chapo, of Smith Lake; children Silas Warren Chapo, Idalis Lynn Chapo and Marie Renee Chapo, all of Smith Lake; parents Edison Chapo Sr., of Prewitt, and Mary Wagner, of Coolidge; sisters Ida Mae Chapo and Sharon Lynn Chapo, both of Coolidge.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Edith Mae Jones

STANDING ROCK — Services for Edith Mae Jones, 72, will be announced at a later date.
Jones died Aug. 22, 2011, in Gallup. She was born Oct. 11, 1938, in Rehoboth into the Edge Water People Clan and the Zuni People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Marcella Marie Nelson

MILAN — Funeral services for Marcella Marie Nelson, 15, of Milan will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.

Nelson died Aug. 19, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born Dec. 15, 1995, in Crownpoint.
Nelson was loved by all who knew her and she loved all she knew.

Survivors include her parents Ricky Kee Nelson and Priscilla Smith, of Milan; sisters Reshell Nelson, Ricshonda Nelson, Adreana Nelson, Angelina Nelson and Selena Nelson, all of Milan; brothers Rick Nelson, Martin Nelson and Adrian Nelson, all of Milan; grandparents Judy Smith Largo, of Borrego Pass, Mike Smith, of Haystack, Sally S. Nelson and Herbert Kee Nelson, both of Milan.

Floyd Darrell Toledo Sr.

PHOENIX — Services for Floyd Darrell Toledo Sr., 50, wall be announced at a later date.

Toledo died Aug. 22, 2011, in Phoenix. He was born Jan. 24, 1961, in Fort Defiance into the Towering House People Clan born for the Red House People Clan.
